Hexham St Mary Northumberland
COTGM member Vanessa Piggott has a query:
The Church of St Mary’s in Hexham was detailed as having two green man roof bosses in the cloisters in Ronalds COTGM newsletters. But
The only St Mary’s in Hexham that Vanessa can locate is a Catholic Church built in 1830’s, which has no cloisters. The Cloisters at the Cathedral are vestigial and no one there could enlighten her.
Does any one know of a Church in Northumberland this might refer to? Or is the person who originally sent the sighting to Ronald reading this? if so could they perhaps sort out this thorny problem?
